5/8/25 : Tomorrow's away high school softball and baseball games against Carriermills have been canceled.
We have some athletic changes for the week. Here is a list of this week's events.
Tuesday 5/6. High school softball at home against Gallatin Co. and High School baseball at SIC against West Frankfort.
Wednesday 5/7 High school baseball at SIC against Galatia
Thursday 5/8 both high school softball and baseball games at Carriermills.
Friday 5/9 High school softball at home against NCOE and baseball at home against Johnston City.
Our Educators Rising students kicked off the week by spreading gratitude and cheer! They’ve been busy delivering thoughtful Teacher Appreciation gifts to show just how much our educators mean to us. What a great way to celebrate the incredible impact of our teachers!

SIC Visit for Early College Program Students – May 19th
Southeastern Illinois College (SIC)
will be at Hardin County School on May 19th to assist Early College
Program students who are enrolled in Summer or Fall courses. During thissession, students will receive help with their initial login and an overview of
key resources and expectations. Topics will include:
- Program expectations
- FalconMail (student email)
- Canva (the portal used for courses)
- MySIC (student account access)
Important Update:
SIC will no longer provide free textbook rentals. Students will now be
responsible for obtaining their own textbooks and must return them if they
choose the rental option and pay for it.

5/2/25: This is a reminder that the Junior High and High School sports banquet is tonight at 6pm in the commons.
Today's High School Baseball Game against NCOE game is being held at SIC at 4:30pm.

High School Softball will have practice after school until 5pm.
4/30/25: Today's Home High School Softball game scheduled for here at home has been moved to Galata at 4:30pm due to field conditions. The bus is leaving school at 2:30pm.
The High School Boys Baseball game scheduled for today has been canceled due to field conditions and is being rescheduled for a later date.
High School Baseball will practice today at 3:45pm in the outside gym.

4/24/25: The High School Boys Baseball games Scheduled for Friday 4/25/25 at Shawnee and for Monday 4/28/25 at Ballard Co have been Canceled.
The High School Softball game at Shawnee will still be played on Friday 4/25/25 as scheduled.
📢 Attention 9th–11th Grade Students & Families:
ACT and PreACT testing is Thursday, April 24th.
To be ready, students should:
✔️ Get a good night’s rest
✔️ Eat a healthy breakfast
✔️ Arrive on time to school
✔️ Be prepared to focus and do their best
Reminder: The ACT is a graduation requirement — it's important to take this seriously.

Just a reminder that students trying out for junior high cheer have practice at 3pm today and there is a mandatory parent meeting at 5pm tonight. Students will need permission to stay after school so please call the school or have student bring note to office if they have one.
This is a reminder that there is a parent meeting tomorrow, Tuesday April, 22nd at 6:00pm in the junior high library for any parent of a senior going on the senior trip.
Please bring a copy of your students current insurance card.
Just a reminder that the Book Fair is going on this week. We invite everyone to attend the Spring Fling, Art Show and International night this Thursday from 5pm to 7pm where you can visit the Book Fair with your student.
