2026-2027 School Registration is open! Please log in through your TeacherEase account at teacherease.com and complete registration for your child prior to the Back-to-School Bash on August 11th. Students must be registered to receive free items at the Back-to-School Bash.

Health & Immunization Information:
On-site physicals will be available during the Back-to-School Bash.
Please note that immunizations cannot be administered at the Back-to-School Bash and must be completed at a medical facility. Please review the attached health requirements to ensure your child meets all grade-level expectations. Children under 18 years of age need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian for physicals.

Hardin County CUSD #1 Staff and Community,

As summer winds down, Hardin County CUSD #1 is preparing to open our doors for the 2026–2027 school year on Monday, August 10th for the Hardin County Staff ONLY. Then, the Back to School Bash will be Tuesday, August 11th and STUDENTS will return on Wednesday,August 12th with an 11:25 dismissal that day.

A strong school district relies on our dedicated teachers, strong community, and the school is immensely grateful for the continued support, collaboration, and investment in our local youth at Hardin County CUSD #1.

The Illinois Attorney General’s Office is pleased to announce a special webinar as part of National Internet Safety Month. Today’s unprecedented access to technology, especially through mobile devices, can leave our children vulnerable. As new technology is developed – such as AI – there is a responsibility to understand the technology, how our children are using it, and how to keep them safe.
National Internet Safety Month is designed to raise awareness of digital threats and promote cyber education. This webinar aims to assist parents and individuals working with children understand generative AI which is used to develop content such as photos, text, and audio. This webinar will share information on how kids are engaging with generative AI, predatory uses of AI including sextortion and enticement including deepfake images, and safety tips and resources for parents.

The Saluki Opportunities Awareness Residency (SOAR) at Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an immersive summer experience designed to introduce motivated high school juniors and seniors to college life and the diverse career opportunities within the College of Business and Analytics.

The College of Business and Analytics will cover the full cost of tuition and housing, including meals, for each student participating in the SOAR program.
