ATTN: The Freshman game tonight against Crab Orchard has been cancelled. The JV and Varsity games will be played as scheduled. JV will begin at 6pm with varsity to follow.
Just a reminder that the IHSA rules gate cost for the regional game Monday will be $6 for students and adults. We hope to see you there to support our Cougars!!
The Hardin County 🍀4-H Teen Teachers🍀taught the lesson "You're Only As Strong As The Weakest Link."
They taught in both Mrs. Fulkerson and Ms. Howard's kindergarten classes. The students were taught about team work and completing your portion/part of a task. The students completed a hands on chain building act.

High School Boys Basketball Regionals kick off next week. The bracket is attached below.
We will host the first round vs. Joppa on 2/23 at 6:00 PM. Additional regional games will be played at Gallatin County.

Tuesday, February 17th lunch will be BBQ on a bun instead of hamburger.
The Hardin County 🍀4-H Teen Teachers 🍀 had the opportunity to visit Shawnee Community College to attend their 3rd and final training session for this year. While there they were able to present their leadership projects speaking about and presenting what they have learned and the skills they have gained while being a 🍀4-H Teen Teacher🍀 Kenna Gunderson received the Champion Ribbon and Makaley Gormley received the Reserve Champion Ribbon. Hardin County also brought back several blue and red ribbons.
Huge congratulations to Tucker Tolbert and Gabriel Capeheart, our winners of the Elks Essay Contest, "What Veterans Day Means to Me."
Just a few reminders for this week:
We want to welcome you to Parent Teacher conferences Tuesday through Thursday this week from 3:25-5:45 PM. Elementary teachers have made appointments while junior high and high school conferences are first come first serve.
We encourage all parents to take the 5 Essentials survey sponsored by UChicago. The survey can be found on our website under news in the parent email sent out this morning. There is also a student survey that can be taken. If you want to opt-out your student from the survey, please complete the form that is being sent home today to all 4th-12th grade students and return it by Thursday, February 12th.
Finally, a reminder that there is no school Friday, February 13th or Monday, February 16th.

School will be in session tomorrow Friday, February 6th, and this will be a full attendance day. There are approximately ten families who will be contacted by their bus drivers to make alternate pickup locations. The High School Scholar Bowl tournament at Carrier Mills has been postponed for a later date. We look forward to seeing our students and staff tomorrow! We appreciate your understanding and support during our prolonged snow days. As always, safety is our number one priority.
There will be no school tomorrow Thursday, February 5th, due to continued hazardous road conditions on secondary roads and streets.
