Rain in the forecast? No problem! ☔ The Running for Rett’s 5K is moving indoors, so the fun is still ON—just without the soggy shoes!
Join us at the school (just inside) for all the same great activities, energy, and community spirit. Registration kicks off at 8:00 AM, and the race begins at 9:00 AM sharp.
Come out, stay dry, and be part of something meaningful as we rally together to support Rett syndrome awareness. We can’t wait to see you there!

This is a reminder that if you have a senior going on the senior trip there is a parent meeting tomorrow, April 14th in the High School Library. It will be a come and go meeting from 3:30 to 5:30pm. Students have been made aware of their balance owed. Please bring a copy of your students Insurance Card. Permission slips will be signed at this time.
The Seniors Little Caesar's orders will be delivered tomorrow, Tuesday April 14th at 1pm. Please make arrangements to have these picked up as there is limited freezer room at the school.

There are many events going on next week that we want to make you aware of. On Monday there is 4-H after school from 3 to 4 and also Kids for Christ. On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday our 5th and 8th graders will be taking the Illinois Science Assessment so they need to be in attendance and be well rested for their tests. On Thursday, there will be the National Honor Society Induction ceremony at 1 PM in the gym. On Friday the FFA Banquet will be held in the commons from 6-8PM.
We also want to stress the importance of student attendance. We still have seven weeks of school left this year and we need to make every day count academically.

This is a reminder that our students in grades 3 through 8 will be participating in IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) testing beginning tomorrow and continuing through Thursday.
These assessments are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and growth throughout the school year. To help your child do their best, please ensure they:
Get a good night’s sleep each evening
Eat a healthy breakfast
Arrive at school on time
We also encourage students to come to school with a positive mindset and to take their time on each test.
Thank you for your support in helping make this a successful testing experience for all students. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the front office.

Today the Educators Rising students attended the Southern Illinois Future Teachers Coalition (SIFTC) competition at SIC. The following students placed in their area of content:

- The postponed HS baseball game from 3/16 has been rescheduled to 4/1 @Herrin (full JV and Varsity game) @4:30pm
- The HS baseball game on Wednesday 3/25 @Harrisburg has been postponed to Wednesday 5/20 @4:30pm
-HS Softball will play @NCOE on 4/30 @4:30pm (this was left off the original schedule)

The following students that will be inducted this year to The National Honors Society (NHS) are Alivia Bishop, Gavin Headlam, Jocee Mills, and Collin Shortland. Returning members will be recognized also. This ceremony will begin promptly at 1:30pm on Thursday, April 16, 2026 in the High School Gymnasium. Mrs. Rachel Kizziah is the sponsor and does a fantastic job sponsoring this nationally recognized organization for our Hardin County students!
