Dear Parents and Guardians,

This is a reminder that our students in grades 3 through 8 will be participating in IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) testing beginning tomorrow and continuing through Thursday.

These assessments are an important opportunity for students to demonstrate their learning and growth throughout the school year. To help your child do their best, please ensure they:

Get a good night’s sleep each evening
Eat a healthy breakfast
Arrive at school on time

We also encourage students to come to school with a positive mindset and to take their time on each test.

Thank you for your support in helping make this a successful testing experience for all students. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the front office.

This is the very first year Robotics has been offered at the High School

Students had to build a custom Battlebot to dominate the arena. Students had to master both offense and defense—staying in bounds while trying to knock a ball off an opponent's cup. They didn't just build the bots; they coded their own phone apps to control every move.

After two weeks of intense class-wide competition, we have a champion! 🏆 Noah Lawrence took home the top spot with his bot, "Elephant," named for its clever, trunk-like design.

"It was really neat to see all the different designs that each student came up with," says Ms. Dial.
