Hall, John

Hello, my name is John Hall. I am the Agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor at HCHS. I’m starting my fourth year at Hardin County as Ag Teacher/FFA Advisor. It’s been a wonderful experience and am looking forward to a long career here.

I am the quintessential “farm kid”. I grew up on a beef seed stock production farm. I’m grateful to be able to enjoy the ups and downs of that life and it’s given me the urge to educate future generations about agriculture and the role it plays in our society.

I am a 1991 graduate of Pope County High School. While a student at Pope County I was very active in the FFA. I attended every event I could and had the privilege of serving as the Section 25 FFA president 1990-91. My SAE was beef production.

After high school graduation I attended Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) in Harrisburg. I graduated in May of 1992 with an Associates of Science degree. Following that graduation, I spent two years at Murray State University (MSU) in Murray Kentucky. While attending MSU, I studied Agriculture with an emphasis on Animal Science. I received my B.S. Degree in May of 1995.

Following graduation from MSU, I spent several years in the construction industry. I also worked in the Pope County district as a substitute teacher for several years after leaving the construction industry.

I’m looking forward to the new school year and meeting both returning and new students.
